You may wonder what it means to eat raw food? This diet is to eat raw, uncooked fresh raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Some people on diet raw food will prepare food in a dehydrator, but food is never exposed to higher temperatures than 116 degrees Fahrenheit. Fresh raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds have their enzymes are destroyed above 116 degrees and losing most of their nutritional value once cooked.
Most people find it difficult to comply with a 100% raw foods diet. This diet differs substantially from the standard American diet, which consists of very little fresh fruits and vegetables and a significant quantity of processed and cooked foods. But if you think about the raw food diet is the most natural diet for our bodies. Food grown in the wild is packed with nutrition that is ideal for the human body. Food that is processed and manufactured with artificial chemicals and additives is a contaminant in the human body. Prepared foods must be fortified with vitamins and minerals as almost all of nutrition is lost from the food that is cooked and processed.
Eating raw foods can be both fun and healthy. As raw food has increasingly popular a variety of raw food recipe books are available. My local library has a number of books and resources on raw food so there is never a shortage of recipes. There is also a large number of websites that has recipes and information about how to incorporate raw foods in your diet.
With a little planning, it can be easy to start to incorporate raw, uncooked fresh raw foods in your daily diet. The first step is to go to the grocery store or local farmer's market and buy some fresh, unprocessed fruit and vegetables. Consider buying something you have never tried before or have not had for a long time. If you are unsure how to choose fresh fruit and vegetables, ask someone who works in the Department for assistance.
A quick simple breakfast is to eat more fresh fruit pieces. Consider washing a cup grapes and enjoy them for breakfast. Scales a couple of oranges and bananas and fueling your body with nutrient-rich fruit instead of processed, refined foods monks, bagels and cereals will nourish your body.
When you start eliminating processed, refined foods from the body and replace them with food from nature as fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds, you will notice significant improvements to your energy levels, your skin becomes clearer, your mood will improve, you will reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and other inflammatory diseases, reduce the signs of aging and you will lose weight. You may feel that it sounds radically to eat only fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds and some of you this may be very difficult. The good news is you don't have a 100% raw foods diet to get benefits from raw food.
At the beginning if you eat very little fresh food starts slowly and incorporate a little at a time. When you become a habit to eat fresh food makes it easier for you to eat more fresh foods other than processed food. Set a goal for yourself and get your diet to 50% and 75%, raw fresh goods over the next year.
As you transition to a healthy diet, it is good to eat 5-6 small meals per day instead of 2 or 3 large meals. Fresh fruits and vegetables are easy resolution, to keep your blood sugar and energy levels at a steady state eat every 2 to 3 hours. This will keep you from ever being too hungry and ove rea things. To ensure you'll never even consider hungry packing a condenser with some fresh fruits and vegetables to enjoy throughout the day.
Another tip is to start keeping a food diary. In this way can you be more aware of when you eat, how much you eat and how you feel all day. It is so easy to grab a handful of chips, candy from a dish or a ring in rest rooms and not even realize you have eaten. You record what you eat, you begin to see patterns in when and how much you eat, and how what you eat affects how you feel. When you review your food diary, look for the sites, you can replace the raw fresh foods instead of your lower quality food choices.
I encourage you to explore the benefits of eating raw fresh foods and start experimenting with some new recipes. Your body will thank you for fueling it with high-quality food.
